Education is Key to Successful Wellness Programs

Screen-Shot-2014-07-03-at-11.44.07-AM-e1404402279425“Employee benefits education is important for the success of both consumer-directed health plan (CDHP) and wellness programs, especially when employees are still getting comfortable with how they work,” according to the Health Trends Institute.

“Considering 71% of participants in Aflac’s 2014 WorkForces Report have not heard the phrase ‘consumer-driven healthcare’ and only 9% believe their human resources departments have communicated extremely effectively about healthcare reform and subsequent changes to their benefits packages, there’s clearly ample opportunity for employers to increase their education efforts.”

“It’s in an employee’s best interest to understand the value of consumer-driven healthcare benefits—their participation in CDHPs and wellness programs can affect their physical and financial well-being. And employers want to encourage their participation in any program that promotes potential cost-savings.”

I was surprised by how much sugar is in our processed food and beverages. I will be reading more food labels looking for sugars and bad fat and chemicals.
I won a Wellness Lunch for my office through a drawing at my fitness studio. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but working with Kay Grobel and Dr. Natalie to set up the event was a breeze. Dr. Natalie’s presentation on nutrition was truly eye-opening to me and all of my co-workers that attended. She presented the information in a clear way and really made everyone in the audience feel at ease. Nutrition is complicated and difficult to understand but Dr. Natalie made it seem not so overwhelming. …
I would like to share my personal story on what Dr. Jim and Finish Line Chiropractic have done for my health. I have suffered from sinus infections for years and I have been on antibiotics 4-6 times a year for at least 10 years. It was recommended that I go through surgery to help open up my sinuses. I was miserable. My good friend Kay Grobel recommended that I come and see Dr. Jim at Finish Line Chiropractic. On my first visit I explained my concern about my sinus issues, and he shared with m…
I really like the Dr. Gianforte and the Minnetonka facility. Very nice people and I can’t wait to hear what she has to say and how she can improve my lifestyle.
About 108 million people in the U.S. have at least one chronic disease such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma, hypertension or osteoarthritis.
In the fall of 2012, Dr. James came to my company for a lecture about food, wellness and toxicity. AsianCircle, an employee resource group, brought him in to educate us in the fall 2012. They were so impressed with the talk and feedback from the employees that they invited him back for a follow-up lecture in May of 2013 during the annual Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM). During the month of May, AsianCircle invites different doctors & professionals to talk about different topics on …
Kay was very helpful with setting up the event. I had many options on the topic and they were very flexible with the date and time.
The success we have at Finish Line Chiropractic would not be possible without the marketing system we have in place. Our marketing development coordinator, Kay Grobel, is what holds it all together. She is great at contacting people and building relationships, which has then turned into great opportunities for us to get in front of various businesses and groups. She is great at organizing events and helping make sure they go smoothly. We also utilize various marketing tools and programs, which h…
